2nd Beeston pass RN inspection - June 2009
2nd Beeston Royal Naval inspection went ahead on 18 June on Barton Island. The admiralty inspection recognises the young people participating in everyday adventure. As always the inspection was thorough. After thanking the leaders, the inspector gave his verdict - they passed for another eighteen months! A big well done and thanks! Malcolm

Well, we did it at last - we held a full County Explorer Scout Forum during the County Centenary Camp at Walesby. More than 80 explorers contributed their ideas for improving explorer scouting in Notts. More details on the facebook group.
Apex Challenge - April 2009
around 55 teams of Explorers entered this overnight adventure competition which took place at Sherwood Pines on 18th/19th April 2009! Teams from Nottinghamshire came 3rd, 9th and 46th. See the full results here

Rufford ESU's igloo - January 2009
At Rufford Explorers we were meant to be making mini cars out of food but the weather made it much more fun! We had a big snowball rolling competition. This then ended with a mass snowball fight. After that we came together as one big team and made a fantastic little Igloo. The best fun the weather has brought to Rufford Explorers for a long time.
NESST hike - a walk in the park! - January 2009
