A song for the Jamboree!

Great news about yet another success for Keyworth Explorers. On the 2nd of July a single was released to celebrate the centenary of scouting and it is hoped that it will get to number one.

CD case All of the money will go to charity and it will be sung at the Opening Ceremony of the World Jamboree in Essex in July. Recently a competition was held for a Scout to be the lead singer and I am delighted to say that one of my Explorers, Peter Grant won. He went to Wales and recorded the single recently. I hope you will join me in congratulating Peter. He certainly is over the moon! It really is brilliant news for our Explorer Scout Unit. I don't suppose many units have 3 Scouts attending the Jamboree! Please buy the single as it is all for charity and a number one would be great!

I expect you have already seen the myspace website with a bit of the song on it. Note, this is not the actual recording with those Beavers and Cubs shouting!!! Peter said they were the least enthusiastic cubs and beavers he had ever met.

Kind regards
Debbie.

There are 400,000 Scouts in the UK and for the new Jambo single to reach Number 1 it needs sales of 300,000. If we all buy a copy of the record we can push it to Number 1. So come on, let's show all of the UK that Scouting is Number 1!

Steve.
