Module 15 - Challenging Behaviour
     

Objectives

List the types of challenging behaviour which might be exhibited by young people
Identify causes and triggers that may lead to unacceptable behaviour from young people
Develop an action plan to manage those triggers/causes which are within their control
Identify who is responsible for setting and enforcing acceptable standards of behaviour for young people
Define and agree acceptable standards with both young people, and the adult leadership team
Define and agree how to deal with challenges to agreed standards of behaviour taking into account the Young People First policy
Identify where to get additional help and support, to help deal with challenging behaviour
Identify the procedures specified in POR relating to the dismissal of a young person from the Scout group, and discuss when to implement them
