Objectives

Outline the main features of the Sections including age ranges, themes, groupings, decision making and programme planning processes
Describe the Programme Zones, methods and underlying ways of working for the Sections to help ensure the operation of a balanced programme
Explain how the various Awards, Badges and Challenges support the delivery of a balanced programme
Explain how the "Self Review" process supports and enhances the programme process
Detail how international aspects feature in the Associations' programme for young people
Outline the major international events and activities and explain how young people may become involved in them
Plan to support international events, activities and programmes
Explain how residential experiences can contribute to the development of young people
Outline the skills, knowledge and experience required by any leadership team in order to provide a safe, enjoyable and developmental residential experience for young people
Detail the training and authorisation processes for leading residential experiences
Detail the risk assessment, home contact, medical details, insurance and other safety and welfare requirements for residential experiences

  Group - usually arranged by the County Training Team      
  Small Group - undertaken locally contact the Local Training Managers
