Module 5 - Fundamental Values of Scouting
     

Objectives

Explain how the values of Scouting are expressed in the purpose, principles and method
Detail the six personal development areas which underpin a balanced programme
Discuss how a balanced programme incorporates the values expressed in the purpose, principle and method of Scouting
Give practical examples of how faith and beliefs can be incorporated into a balanced programme for young people
Recognise occasions where reflection, prayer and worship are appropriate
Enable young people to take part in reflection, prayer and worship
Outline the religious policy of The Scout Association and their role in implementing that policy
